Winner of 2008 LIPSA Design Award

This is an example of a traditional pool/spa combination.  The spa is attached to the pool via a three foot spillway allowing for an optional water feature, dependant on the clients mood.  The pool contains a 10' X 12' sundeck that flows into the entry steps of the pool, as well as a 55' bench running the lengh of the pool.

The dimensions of the pool is 25' X 65', the spa 8' X 10'.  This is an example of a tradional Gunite pool with a PebbleTec finish.  It is also the recipiant of the the LISPA Gold award for traditional gunite, as well as Silver for traditional pool/spa gunite combination.

This stunning pool/spa combo incorporates the look of floating steps on a sun deck leading to an island spa with a negative edge on the deep end of the pool.  The pool is 20' x 50' with an 8' x 8' spa raised slightly above the pool.  It also contains a trough fully capable of holding enough water to run the negative edge without the use of a holding tank.  The spa has 3 spillways which create an elegant look for parties as well as a warm waterfall for anyone sitting below.  The spa is straddled by 2 sets of steps accessing the shallow end with 2 benches in the deep end for easy exit from the pool without the look of a ladder.  On the backside of the pool is the trough which creates a beautiful waterfall viewable from the tennis court and lower patio.  This combo really provides the backyard with a great focal point and huge entertainment value. 

The surround includes Italian Travertine coping on the pool and spa as well as the floating steps to the spa.  The expansive decking is mahogany with travertine steps down to the lower trough level.  The waterfall is faced with cultured stone which creates a natural waterfall splashing and cascading down the back side of the pool. 

This pool/spa combo has the spa elevated 2' above the pool to create 2 spillways off teh corner of teh spa as well as a stacked stone look.  The pool is 14' x 40' with the 8' x 8' spa set in the shallow end corner one half in and one half out of the pool.  Adjacent to the raised spa is a set of steps to the shallow end with a bench in the deep end for easy exit from the pool.  Positioning of the spa, steps, and bench were crucial in this design to allow an open swim lane to fulfill the customer's desires.  the spa is positioned within close proximity to the back door for winter use.  All Pelican Pool spas are constructed with separate filter and heating systems to allow the pool to be closed down and the spa to remain open into the winter months. 

The surround includes 12" bluestone coping on the pool with 14" bluestone coping on the spa.  The outside of teh spa is faced with bluestone veneer giving the look of a stacked stone wall.  The patio is bluestone set in a random pattern all of 4" fiber reinforced concrete slabs with expansion joints allowing movement between pool and patio without settling or weeds growing through.
