Example 1
This freeform pool was constructed using poured concrete walls to achieve the custom shape desired by the homeowner. The combination of the grey liner and the interior steps gives this pool a look of gunite without the cost. This enabled the customer to put the savings into the patio and landscaping. We will work closely with the customer to help them budget and design the backyard of their dreams.
The surround includes irregular bluestone as coping as well as the field. It is laid in a random pattern which accents the pool nicely to achieve a natural setting the customer was looking for.
Example 2
This 16 x 32 vinyl pool gives a traditional look to the backyard and provides the customer with a great way to cool off and entertain without using up the whole yard. This pool was constructed with concrete walls and foam padding behind the liner which gives a soft feel to the touch and protects the liner as well.
The surround is a bullnose paver coping which makes it comfortable to sit on and pavers in the field on a reinforced concrete slab set in a sand bed. The slab provides the best foundation for pavers or any type of stonework because it won<92>t settle unevenly and weeds will not grow through it.
Example 3
This kidney shaped pool creates a natural looking oasis in the customer<92>s backyard. The shape yields to a natural setting which could incorporate a waterfall or planters adjacent to the pool. This particular pool was set into a small backyard and working with the customer we came up with a plan to incorporate a large patio area, awning and barbeque for entertaining.
The surround has a bullnose paver coping set with grass behind the majority of the pool which gives a very natural look and pavers accessing the pool by the steps from the covered patio and barbeque area.
Example 4
This traditional 20 x 40 vinyl gives a very clean look to the backyard with grass running right up to the coping. The pool was set into a hill which was excavated to create a plateau for the pool and surrounding area creating a more usable backyard for the homeowner. The interior corner step really helps the pool keep its straight lines while giving good access to the pool. The surround is a simple 12<94> bluestone coping with no patio. Even with the rectangle pool, the grey liner and bluestone coping give a natural feel to this traditional favorite.
Example 5
These 2 examples of interior steps with vinyl overlay really help the pool blend with the surrounding areas without making the steps stand out. Depending on the size of the steps, you can make the steps double as a lounging area or it could be a great place for kids to play. Subtle changes like this in a vinyl pool help it look more elegant and blend in with the rest of the liner allowing for an uninterrupted transition between patio and pool.
